Music Literature:

Some of my favorite Piano literature books: (As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases).

I love this series by Bastein because it keeps things super simple, and teaches the beginnings of piano theory in a way that is engaging for the younger beginner with colorful pictures. It also has quite a bit of well known melodies in the beginning songs which makes it more fun for new piano players!

Bastien Piano Basics Set (Piano, Theory Performance, Technic, Primer, 4 Book Set)  For Ages 7-11      Bastien Piano Basics for the Young Beginner Primer A Level - Two Book Set - Includes Piano Basics for the Young Beginner and Theory & Technic for the Young Beginner Books For ages 5-7

The Faber series is a great one for the younger beginner who likes to do fun learning activities. It has theory pages that include fun theory practice like mazes to match note names, cross word puzzles with musical terms, in addition to typical theory practice pages.  It also has an advanced beginner series for the older beginner that learns things more quickly to be able to play more advanced songs sooner.
